Job Description:

The Head of HR Services is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of Compensation & Benefits strategies and HR services, policies, and procedures at Vodacom Tanzania. This position ensures the company offers competitive compensation and rewards, while enhancing the employee experience throughout their tenure. Additionally, the role includes the integration of artificial intelligence in HR operations and leveraging HR analytics to enhance decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver HR services aligned with the People Strategy, partnering with HR Business Partners and Centres of Expertise.
  • Lead the identification and migration of HR services employees and processes to HR Shared Service Centres.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies, processes, and practices.
  • Implement Artificial Intelligence tools to streamline HR operations and enhance decision-making.
  • Develop and manage Compensation and Benefits strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor local labor market trends and advise management on compensation and benefits packages.
  • Conduct job evaluations, advise on salary scales, and ensure internal pay equity.
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure compliance with statutory and policy requirements.
  • Develop and implement creative compensation programs that align with business objectives.
  • Create retention strategies to support employee development and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in managing teams.
  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • MBA (added advantage).
  • Experience in Shared Services organizations is advantageous.
  • Cellular Industry experience would be beneficial but not required.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of global and local compensation principles and methodologies.
  • Analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Self-driven and proactive approach with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with high-level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HR transformation, organization design, and global HR trends.
